Trades:

#7 San Francisco to New England

#22 Cleveland to Dallas

#29 Indianapolis to San Francisco

1 Miami (1-15) Chris Long DE Virginia
Note: Long has separated himself from the others in this years draft.  His athleticism and work ethic will make him an instant defensive force in Miami.
2 St. Louis (3-13) Jake Long OT Michigan
Note: The Rams need to secure their line to open holes for Steven Jackson and protect Marc Bulger.
3 Atlanta (4-12) Matt Ryan QB Boston College
Note: The Falcons need a new face to the franchise.  Ryan has the arm strength and leadership to help fans forget about Michael Vick.
4 Oakland (4-12) Glenn Dorsey DT LSU
Note: With Sapp retired, Dorsey makes the most sense here.  He has the tenacity and nastiness that will make him a fan favorite in Raidernation.
5 Kansas City (4-12)* Vernon Gholston DE Ohio State
Note: Is there any stop to Gholston's climb?  We don't see him going any higher than KC at #5.
6  NY Jets (4-12) Darren McFadden RB Arkansas
Note: D-Mac and "The Big Apple" will be a great fit.  He is this years Adrian Peterson and will help get the "J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets" get to .500 in 2008.
7 New England (from SF 5-11) Mike Jenkins CB South Florida
Note: With Samuel and Gay out of New England the Patriots will take the best corner in this years draft.
8 Baltimore (5-11) Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma
Note: The Ravens need a target at the wide receiver position to take the pressure off of Boller and the run game.
9 Cincinnati (7-9) Ryan Clady OT Boise State
Note: Clady will help open holes for Rudi Johnson and add protection for Carson Palmer and the passing game.
10 New Orleans (7-9) Sedrick Ellis DT USC
Note: Ellis will add a new dimension to the New Orleans defense.
11 Buffalo (7-9) Leodis McKelvin CB Troy State
Note: The Bills are in need of help in their defensive backfield.  McKelvin is a playmaker who is ready to excel at the next level.
12 Denver (7-9) Keith Rivers OLB USC
Note: Rivers will add athleticism and speed to the Bronco defense.
13 Carolina (7-9) Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois
Note: The Panthers have been yearning for a top notch running game.  Mendenhall has tremendous upside to do the job.
14 Chicago (7-9)  Chris Williams OT Vanderbilt
Note: The Bears may go running back here but with Mendenhall off the board they'll go with a tackle to help protect Grossman.
15 Detroit (7-9) Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon
Note: Stewart is a multidimensional talent who would make an immediate impact in the motor city.
16 Arizona (8-8) Derrick Harvey DE Florida
Note: The Cardinals need to produce a pass rush in order to upgrade their defense.  Harvey is a fast, powerful defensive end who would be the right guy for the job.
17 Minnesota (8-8) DeSean Jackson WR California
Note: The Vikings need playmakers at the wide receiver position.  Jackson makes a good fit for the purple and gold here.
18 Houston (8-8) Kentwan Balmer DT North Carolina
Note: The Texans aren't far away from having a top notch defense.  With the addition of Balmer it could be in the top 10 in 2008.
19 Philadelphia (8-8) Limas Sweed WR Texas
Note: The Eagles were close to signing a top flight wide receiver in free agency.  Because they didn't, they'll add Sweed at pick #19.
20 Tampa Bay (9-7) Phillip Merling DE Clemson
Note: It's no secret that teams no longer fear the Buccaneer defensive line.  Expect them to add an end like Mearling to change things around.
21 Washington (9-7) Mario Manningham WR Michigan
Note: Jason Campbell needs offensive weapons around him in order to excel.  Manningham always had a knack for being around the ball at Michigan and the Redskins will be looking for more of the same in 2008.
22 Dallas (from CLE 10-6) Jeff Otah OT Pittsburgh
Note: It's no secret that the Cowboys are looking to add youth to their offensive line.  Otah is a top rated tackle that would be a great fit.
23 Pittsburgh (10-6) Aqib Talib CB Kansas
Note: The Steelers need to add talent to their defensive backfield.  Talib has all of the tools to be a top corner in the NFL for years to come.
24 Tennessee (10-6) Kenny Phillips S Miami (FL)
Note: The Titans could use the services of the top rated safety in this years draft.
25 Seattle (10-6) Dan Connor OLB Penn State
Note: Connor comes from a great pedigree of linebackers at Penn State.  Holmgren and the Seahawks would be wise to select him if he's here at pick #25.
26 Jacksonville (11-5) Fred Davis TE USC
Note: Garrard would love to have a big target at tight end to throw to in 2008.  Davis has the size and speed to be a force at the next level.
27 San Diego (11-5) Sam Baker OT USC
Note: The Chargers need to focus on protecting Rivers and creating holes for LT and the run game.  Baker is a highly touted tackle who could be a real steal here.
28 Dallas (13-3) Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tennessee State
Note: Rodgers-Cromartie keeps rising up the draft boards with scouts praising his ability to return punts.  The Cowboys could also use his athleticism in the defensive backfield.
29 San Francisco (from IND 13-3) James Hardy WR Indiana
Note: Scouts are big on Hardy's size and speed.  The 49ers and Smith need a wide receiver with his intangibles to spread opposing defenses.
30 Green Bay (13-3) Eric Young OG Tennessee
Note: It's no secret that the Packers were not satisfied with the play of their offensive line.  Young has the size and strength to help protect new QB Aaron Rodgers.
31 New England (16-0) Forfeited
Note: The Patriots will forfeit pick # 31 due to "Spygate"
32 NY Giants (10-6)  Gosder Cherilus OT Boston College
Note: When you're the Super Bowl Champs and the last pick in the first round you take the best football player available.  Cherilus will help protect Eli and add youth to the Giant offensive line.
